Sounds like you are planning well for your child. Congrats!
I hope your soon to be ex-wife abides by the stipulations and doesn't decide she can get away with theocratic warfare (lying).
as some of you may remember i have been embroiled in a divorce for the past year and a half.
i had helped my wife to see the reality of the jws.
but she ran back to it and that complicated things.
Sounds like you are planning well for your child. Congrats!

I can't believe they are wearing dress clothes while walking through a jungle. What is wrong with this picture?
I do wonder about their shoes. I hope they have proper footware to cross jungles waters.
it was interesting watching the trend in votes last night as the results came in !
it reminded me somewhat of a major league baseball game where you east coast people put obama on base and we in california, oregon, washington, and hawaii drove him home with the winning votes to put him over the 270 he needed at the time to win the election !
so- i want to congratulate each of you that casted your votes across the country wherever you are for helping put this man into the white house.
Hey Flipper, don't forget the midwest. It was really blue on the map, except for Missouri. I think a lot of folks recognized the need to make some major changes in this country.
if this has already been posted....sorry.... http://www.modernghana.com/newsp/189459/1/pagenum1/jehovahs-witnesses-do-vote-in-ghana.html.

Right, they never discourage their members from voting and it is an individual decision whether to take a blood transfusion also.
You can tell when they're lying when their lips move.
wow!
i didn't know he was sick either.
i have read many of his books and always loved the amount of research he put into them.
Wow! I didn't know he was sick either. I have read many of his books and always loved the amount of research he put into them. His blending of fact and fiction was very well done.
Sorry to see him die at such a young age.
my wife has an associate who senses something is wrong with her "spirituality" and last week they had a somewhat deep discussion.
the associate is very much into being a jw, and so is her whole family, she just cannot wrap her mind around the fact that someone .
could question the wt society and their beliefs.
Number one is the usual defense of jws, but number two is rather strange. I'm sure she thinks she has some really deep thoughts, but don't expect too much.
so i tried voting twice today, both time complete failures.
now it isn't only a select few in my kh who think i am possessed.
first time i got to the front of the line and freaked out badly.
Hey Y-Knot, You tried, that's great! We all struggle to get over the programming. For some it's holiday's, others can't enter a church, for you it's voting that freaks you out. You might try next year with an absentee ballot or decide you just don't want to vote.
The society is so very good at placing extreme fears in our minds. I was not raised in this messed up religion, yet they were able to convince me that if I voted for anyone, I was then responsible for any decision that person made while in office. I have pretty much been able to shake that crazy thinking, but I still get a twinge of fear at times.
The society is 100% wrong to try and take away your right to vote. They certainly would complain the loudest if anyone took away any of their rights. They have already proven that with all their court cases fought and won in this country.
Don't let them guilt you about exercising your rights. They always make sure they exercise theirs. Free your mind.
this morning while moving some papers off my desk a paper fell to the floor and i immediately recognised it as being the leaflet that the obama campaign workers had left with me when they had called on my door.
both of the gentlemen had been very nice and we had what i would consider a nice conversation.. .
getting back to the leaflet, it was titled voting questions & answers and as it lay on the floor of my office at home my eyes caught site of this question.
StoneWall, I had the same thing happen to me when I first saw Obama-Biden on a banner as Obama announced his VP pick. It was a strange sensation. I wondered if it happened to anyone else.
i know some of you know me by my posts...as someone very much on the "fence".
recently, i had made an effort to start coming back to meetings after being inactive for 2+ years.
during that time, i did have a prescription drug problem following an injury.
There is a difference between dependence/addiction to painkillers. Dependence happens when you are prescribed painkillers for legitimate pain and then experience withdrawal symptoms when you stop taking the drug. Addiction, on the other hand, involves taking the medication in larger than prescribed dosages by getting multiple prescriptions from different doctors, buying the drug illegally or borrowing/stealing it from others.
If you just became dependent on the drug while following your doctor's instructions, there is no moral lapse involved. Look up the difference between addiction and dependence and take your info to the elders. I think you should appeal, if you want to stay in the org.
Your elders sound like they have a grudge against you. It's a real shame when you entrust private info to so-called spiritual men and they use it to hurt you rather than help you through the struggle.
Think about whether you want to be involved with people like them.
